Re: Recommendation for Ben Creighton
To Whom It May Concern:
While many young people have a desire to obtain an on-air job, Ben Creighton has separated himself from the pack with his passion, focus and work ethic. I was initially introduced to Ben by Albert “ Scooter” Vertino (Sr. VP, Programming of Turner Sports & GM of NBA Digital) in the midst of Ben’ s internship in our Atlanta office. I am currently a studio host for NBA TV and got the opportunity to sit-down with Ben during his time working with us at Turner and since stayed in communication via e-mail.
From the first time I spoke with Ben, it was clear he had a vision for his career and was willing to work at his craft, not expecting anything to be handed to him. Ben has displayed a strong knowledge of sports as well as the sports media industry. I have always been impressed with Ben’ s ability to seek out and accept positive and negative feedback. Following each of our conversations Ben has digested my critiques and shown obvious improvement.
In an age when it can be difficult to find recent college graduates who are not only talented but also 100% invested in their career, I would have no hesitation offering my full support for Ben joining your team. His positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile is sure to be an asset to your company. Please don’ t hesitate to reach out, should you require additional information.

To whom it may concern,
I am writing you in reference to Ben Creighton. Ben recently interned for us at Turner Sports in Atlanta for our production wing. While interning for us, Ben showed a tremendous work ethic and initiative, constantly seeking out the next project in an attempt to hone his craft. His energy and enthusiasm are boundless and in my estimation will lend themselves to making him a valued asset for any employer.
If you are looking to fill a position that includes either talent or production, I can recommend no better candidate than Ben. He brings an ability to make a difference in the workplace and a talent to make others around him better. Even at a young age his level of knowledge of the marketplace and sports world is impressive and will suit him well with where and when he makes his mark in the industry. He is the type of person that raises the bar for himself and others around him and I give him the highest endorsement. If you need anything else or to inquirer further, I can be reached at (404) 827-0548.

To Whom It May Concern,
Ben Creighton has asked me to recommend him and I am most pleased to do so.
I met Ben when he was a student in my television broadcasting class at The Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University. The course was demanding, high pressure and required good writing skills and a great work ethic. Ben met and exceeded all of my expectations.
I was impressed with his maturity and thoughtfulness. He is engaging, enthusiastic, the type of student we professors hope for, but too rarely see. He is creative, self-motivated, has terrific organizational skills and works beautifully in collaborative environments. Simply put, he is a joy to have around.
I was continually impressed with his thoughtful approach to the news business. It is clear that Ben loves writing and it shows in his work.
Ben has a passion for sports but is strong and capable in all areas of news coverage. He is also a natural on camera. He is serious about his professional future. I know he will be a wonderful addition to any news operation.
I hope you will give him your every consideration.
